SAT Overview

What is the SAT?
The SAT (Scholastic Assessment Test) is a standardized college admissions test widely used in the United States. It assesses students’ readiness for college and provides colleges with a common measure to compare applicants.

Test Format

The SAT consists of three main sections:

1. Reading (65 minutes)

Scoring

• Each section is scored on a scale of 200-800, with a total score ranging from 400 to 1600.
• The essay is scored separately and does not contribute to the total score.

Test Dates and Registration

• The SAT is offered several times a year. Students can register online and choose their preferred test date and location.
